Meet Keierra

M.A.T. & M.A. in Special Education

My name is Keierra Owens. I currently hold a Master of Arts in Teaching and Master of Arts in Special Education. I am the director of Learning is Infinite for Explorers (LIIFE). My journey began working as a paraprofessional in public schools providing assistance to students with special needs. I have taught, tutored, and assisted children individually and in small groups to help master assignments and reinforce learning concepts. With over three years of teaching in the classroom, I have found that many scholars have lost interest in academics and struggle with performing at grade level.

It was through these experiences that ignited my passion to launch a service that would increase scholars' interests, motivation, and academic success. Learning is Infinite for Explorers (LIIFE) is a faith based educational enrichment program that provides a variety of programs and services to meet the education needs of scholars in elementary, middle, high school, and post-secondary. Here at LIIFE we believe that all scholars have the potential to be successful when given equitable opportunities to learn and grow.

"Ambition. Repetition. Fruition."  - Percy Fowler IV

Percy Fowler IV was tutored at LIIFE in middle school. Throughout middle and high school Percy was inquisitive and eager to learn. He began taking dual enrollment courses at Belleville High School and Eastern Michigan University. Percy graduated with his associates degree and high school diploma simultaneously. He is now studying software engineering, and cyber security at Lawrence Tech University. Percy is just another example that with diligence, determination, and consistency, success is imminent. Way to go Percy!
